After many years and much hesitation I decided to open this personal site. The advantages of such a site are obvious. It would facilitate, I hope, access to my work and facilitate communication with any one who might be interested in my work or might be curious about me and my writing. My hesitations are due to some fear of getting bogged down with technical details but the main reason is my natural shyness and unease about advertising myself.  In any event, these hesitations are now overcome. In fact, I am  quite excited about this new medium and amazed at how easy it has become.
